From Highway 84, go north on Hwy 83/Treadaway Blvd for about 9 miles. Turn right (east) onto N 10th and take the 2nd left (north) into the cemetery.
The cemetery is immediately noticeable and is on both sides of the road. It is a large, sprawling cemetery with a number of different sections. One area is known as Cedar Hill, there is a Masonic Section, an Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) Section and a City Section. The sections are sometimes known as separate cemeteries.
Abilene Municipal Cemetery is often simply called Abilene Cemetery. It is a large, sprawling complex that is operated by the City of Abilene.
