Booker Family Cemetery
GPS Coords: 32.240035, -99.837008
From Beltway Drive South (FM 707) in Abilene, Texas, take US Highway 84 South 7.7 miles to the intersection with County Road 154. Turn right (west) on CR 154 and go 4.9 miles until it intersects County Road 152. (Yes you really did cross a single lane, wooden bridge over the railroad). Turn right (west) on CR 152 and go 1.2 miles to the intersection of FM 613. Turn right on FM 613 and go 0.3 of a mile. Stop at the oil tank battery and look almost due East. Just left of some stock pens at the brow of the small hill, you can see the tiny cemetery perhaps a quarter mile away. The cemetery is on private land (the Grimes Ranch) with access from Farm to Market Road 613.
If you want to visit the cemetery make arrangements for access before going to the ranch.
There are nine burials. The headstones were "knocked about" by the cattle before the land owner was able to put a fence around the site. I'm not sure how many stones could be relocated in their proper positions.
