Where We Are
Howard County is on the High Plains of West Texas eighty miles west of Abilene and is bordered by
Dawson,
Borden and
Scurry counties in the north,
Mitchell County in the east,
Midland,
Glasscock and
Sterling counties in the south, and
Martin County in the west.
The county seat is Big Spring, located a bit southwest of the county's center.
